Nestled between Cherokee National Forest and Great Smoky Mountains, Rocco Top Cabin is the perfect place to get away from it all and take in breathtaking mountain views in Newport TN. Your private retreat is situated atop 18+ acres, just 10 minutes from Interstate 40 and is conveniently located to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Asheville, Maggie Valley, Knoxville, and more! For the more adventurous traveler you can explore the many nearby outdoor attractions by day.
Enjoy the privacy of this peaceful cabin which sleeps 8 (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins, and 1 Bunk Bed with Twin over Full Bed) featuring a separate loft for kids! Relax with your morning coffee on the covered deck while watching the sun rise or sunbathe on the 2nd level overlook where you will have breathtaking views of the Great Smoky Mountains and Cherokee National Forest. Rocco Top Cabin is located just minutes from white water rafting, fishing/hunting, Moonshine distillery, and Big Creek Market. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are 1 hour from Rocco Top Cabin and you are just 20 minutes from Great Smoky Mountain National Park.
If you're more of a homebody, enjoy some game time in the upstairs loft featuring air hockey, foosball, wii video gaming system, and an abundance of board games. A PS4 gaming system and Nintendo Switch docking station are available (bring your own games). The great room has a 70” flat screen TV with Roku so that you can log into your favorite apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and more! DVD player and dozens of family DVDs on hand to watch. Warm up by the gas fireplace during the fall and winter months or relax outdoors around the fire-pit. Plenty of comfortable seating and a large farmhouse table to accommodate intimate meals for everyone to enjoy together.
The cabin is fully stocked and professionally cleaned after each guest. It is the perfect getaway for those looking for a true mountain experience but with the comforts of home. Rocco Top is just minutes from Tennessee's best whitewater rafting opportunities on the Pigeon River, nearby Martha Sundquist State Park, Zip-lining, ATV 4-Wheeling, mountain biking, and other local attractions like Bootleggers Distillery, the Bean Trees, and more! Markets, grocery stores, Walmart, restaurants, and shopping are only 10-25 minutes away for anything you may need during your stay.
You'll have a peaceful paved drive from downtown Hartford, but may lose cell service as you enter the town - not to fear, the cabin has High Speed Internet through Starlink and you'll be able to enjoy wifi calling and streaming once you arrive at Rocco Top.
Please Note: The cabin sits atop a private 18-acre mountain property, accessible via a gravel driveway with some incline. While the road is well-maintained, it can feel a bit adventurous on your first drive up—especially if you're not used to mountain roads. But rest assured, even minivans and sedans make it up just fine, and most guests quickly get the hang of it!
Confident driving is recommended, and we do not offer refunds for guests who are uncomfortable with the driveway upon arrival. If you have concerns, feel free to reach out before booking—we’re happy to answer questions and help you decide if it’s a good fit!

My family had a fantastic stay at this cabin. My favorite rental by far. The cabin is much larger than what pics show and the steep drive is a bit intimidating, but totally worth it. Had a flock of turkeys hanging out in the yard while we were there. Plenty of space for the whole fam to watch a movie, play games, cook and eat together, etc. The drive to Gatlinburg is @ 45 mins or so but so beautiful along the way. Would recommend. 10/10!

My kids and I loved how secluded this home was. The driveway caught me a little by surprise by how steep it was, so I’m glad I had an suv, but we got used to it eventually!

This cabin was exactly what we were wanting! Rustic-log cabin feeling, large kitchen for cooking with your group, plenty of beds/sleeping room and outside area. The porches are the best for early morning coffee drinking. Easy drive to Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. We will definitely be back.

There were so many little things busted and broken. Chairs did not recline, could not go on the balcony, air hockey table fan did not work. We were only there for 3 days so it was not a big deal.
