Located just a short stroll from the historical center of Gaiole in Chianti, Gittori is a luxury villa in the heart of the region's famous wineries. Completely restored, Gittori's contemporary decor combines exquisitely with the property’s traditional charm as its position superbly combines its village location and open countryside spot.
Gittori is the perfect place to relax in the Tuscan countryside among undulating hills dotted with cypress trees and hilltop castles. Here among the natural splendour the world-class vineyards are fringed by sun-drenched olive groves. At the same time you can have day trips to Siena, Florence and San Gimignano or a stroll to the nearby village of Gaiole in Chianti to soak up your new way of life.
Inside the cottage's chic restoration is across three floors. The lower floor's two stylish bedrooms and bathrooms blend traditional travertine with opulent design features. The high ceiling middle floor's living and dining area have wooden beams that are brushed contemporary white. The upper mezzanine floor bedroom is positioned above the kitchen, its stone walls and pitched roofs romantic qualities frame its stylish bathroom impeccably.
Outside this rustic-style stone barn the terrace has a covered dining area to enjoy good wine and fine food while taking in the incomparable views, this is your front row seat to view the sunset over Chianti Classico's most prestigious vineyards. In the surrounding private gardens there are various places to kick back and relax and the large furnished pool terrace is raised so the views are uninterrupted of the Gaiole in Chianti roof tops and hills beyond.

We are a family of four (kids aged 12 & 11) and stayed at Gittori in August 2023. Overall, a fantastic experience. The property is very well equipped throughout including very good air conditioning.
Probably the highlight is the large pool which was much bigger than you normally get. The water was very pleasantly warm and the kids played in it for hours each day. A real selling point.
The views from the terrace were very expansive and we often ate outside. We used the bbq twice which was very robust and again, well equipped.
The property is located near the village of Gaiole in Chianti. It is up a steep hill which is walkable but quite a bit of effort coming back up. Not really a problem for us as we had a car (which you do need really). Within Gaiole are a number of very nice restaurants so plenty of options for dinner.
The property is managed by Lorenzo who lives in a house nearby but does not in any way encroach on Gittori. Lorenzo was extremely helpful and friendly…a very nice guy.
We would definitely definitely recommend this villa. A true Tuscan experience in a very comfortable setting.
