A great place to stay, we enjoyed the railway carriage accommodation which was carefully restored, with no compromise on the facilities offered.
We also booked dinner in the Pullman car. The food and service was excellent a very relaxed environment

carriages were spotless inside and the beds were really comfy though there was a modern en suite the rest of the carriage interior oozed history harking back to the days of luxury train travel
This is somewhere really special. I can think of nowhere else you would you find 4 comfy Pullman coaches you can stay in and another Pullman coach set up for fine dining all within an original railway station setting complete with original booking office ( which also has 2 en suite rooms). All have been sympathetically restored keeping to original fixtures and fittings where possible. My wife and I stayed here as a base to go to the Watercress Line and really enjoyed our stay, The bed was very comfortable and the interior of the carriage spotless.
The staff were really friendly and helpful taking time to make sure we had everything. It was a real pleasure talking to the owner who's passion for these Pullman carriages was so evident and his willingness to make time for us and pass on some of his knowledge about each individual carriage and the ongoing restoration which we found fascinating.
Site itself was very quiet though just off the main road, Breakfast was served in the old ticket office and was good with full English, fruit, cereals and juice. They only do fine dining in the evening on the site but my wife and I found the Cricketers pub about a mile or so away was very welcoming and did excellent pub meals at a reasonable price.
Close to Petworth house, Goodwood and carrying on the railway theme, about an hour from The Watercress line or The Bluebell line.
Definately looking to stay here again when visiting the area again

Breakfast was very good. Evening Meal was not available the night we stayed;
The easy chairs in the pullman were un-comfortable. Privacy in the carriage corridor adjacent to the bathroom doorway should be improved. Exit from the carriage onto the steps is difficult for older guests - more handrails?

Unique experience sleeping in a train carriage from the 1930,s. Dining experience was also very enjoyable also with a carriage set aside specifically for dining
