Sophie was a great hostess, the cottage is ideally placed near to Sword beach (just a walk away) on a holiday leisure park. We explored the area which easily covered our interest in History from William the Conqueror ( check out his home town of Dives sur Mer ) to the D Day landing beaches. The cottage although smallish was well equipped …. All in all , a nice little place to stay… the facilities of the next door campsite were available to renters of the cottage… Thank you Sophie …

Property is ideally situated for visiting the Normandy beaches etc. Facilities very good, indoor and outdoor pools. What came as a surprise was being informed 2 days prior to our arrival, (myself contacting the host as opposed to the other way as stated it would be) being informed that there was the requirement for a 50 euro deposit for cleaning of the accommodation at the end of the stay, nothing mentioned about this during the booking process. As for the check in process, well!!, Having being told that if we needed to check in prior to 7:30 pm I would need to collect the keys from the hosts place of work which I agreed to if I could have the GPS details. I was then informed that I needed to arrive at 6pm, no later !! we then had to plan our day accordingly, was not really impressed with this. Check in was a whistle-stop tour of the accommodation, I would say less than 5 mins all told. We did clean the accommodation prior to leaving, don't think it had seen a deep clean in a while, accommodation probably cleaner than it has been in a long time. It would have been nice if the welcoming pack was duplicated in English as well as French. The above said, we had a great time, and just to repeat the accommodation is ideally situated and very quiet and peaceful location, we were just taken a back a bit with the arrival timing and the cleaning regime.

We had a wonderful week staying here. Great for exploring the local area. Campsite was clean, tidy, friendly and the accommodation was superb. Merci Sophie and Yvon. See you again.
