I had always been put off the Leonardo Hotel chain due to the hotel near Waverley Station in Edinburgh that is a terrible example of brutalist architecture. However, when the Leonardo came up on Trivago as the most reasonably priced hotel between the station and the venue I was attending (Wardrobe Theatre) I put my prejudices to one side. I was glad I did. The room was spacious, and were I to return with my spouse and son it could accommodate three people (unlike some other hotel chain rooms I could mention). My check-in experience was great and I was able to choose a room on the quiet side of the building. As I had to leave early next morning to catch a train I didn't have the chance to sample breakfast but I'm sure that would have been good too. All in all a great experience and I shall be experimenting with other Leonardo Hotels in the future as and when they come up on hotel searches.
I checked out early then got a message to check out online - but when I tried to check out online, I got the message I was already checked out - so why send me that unnecessary message?!
