We loved being at Drum Castle,the staff especially Richard Taylor of the National Trust for Scotland was FABULOUS .He is a remarkable guy and helped us feel at home.
The stay was cozy .My wife and I are tall people (6foot tall)so the double bed /soft mattress with a Short brass frame was difficult to cope with.
THEY NEED AT LEAST A NEW QUEEN BED WITH LARGER BED FRAME. PLEASE ADVISE THEM TO MAKE OTHERS STAY EVEN BETTER THAN OURS!

Peace and quiet. Uniqueness of castle stay
Due to gales there was a power cut and had to leave a day earlier
