I like these family-run guest houses. They're usually good value. The breakfast was fine. Better than what I've had at the typical motel in the U.S. They cooked eggs to order. The room and the bathroom were comfortable and clean. The room was fine for a lone traveler (such as myself) or a couple but probably small for a family. Perhaps the hotel has larger rooms for families traveling with children.
It's not centrally located to Monschau, but it's an easy drive away. It had parking right out front, which hotels in Monschau proper aren't likely to have. I wasn't looking to stay in the town itself, so it was fine for me.

De communicatie vooraf verliep soepeltjes en lekker vlot. Onze hond werd speciaal welkom geheten met een snack en eet- en drinkbak stonden al klaar inclusief handdoek. Eigenaren zijn bijzonder vriendelijk en behulpzaam, nemen de tijd voor je.
Prima kamer met alle gemakken voorzien. Heerlijk bed en erg stil. We hebben nergens last van gehad. Badkamer al even zo mooi. En dan het ontbijt......uitgebreid en heerlijk. Je mag zelf een lunch maken. Jam's etc allemaal homemade.
Mbt wandelen; je loopt de oprit af, gaat 2x rechts af en binnen 1 minuut loop je zo de natuur in met geweldige uitzichten. Knooppunten zijn goed aangegeven.
Helemaal niks.
