We stayed there for one night and were a bit sceptical at first because of all the medium feedbacks from other guests. But we were positivly surprised: the rooms are large, the beds and pillows very comfortable and it had a blowdryer and everything you needed. Eddy at reception was very helpful.
Even though the room is nice, it‘s nothing luxurius: the carpet is a bit old, the shower a little stained and the view nothing nice to look at. There is no elevator for the second floor and the wifi only works in the lobby.

1. It was in the centre of Killkee. 2. It was available in August, while everywhere else was booked up.
It was a bit tatty, run-down, and really expensive. It comes across (and, most likely, is) as somewhere in receivership, where the receivers are trying to wrangle as much hard cash as they possibly can before off-loading it.
