Location and accommodations were terrific!

Plenty of parking outside the property. A friendly welcome. We had an attic room that was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a good night's sleep as all was quiet. The space was used well in the room. Lovely views from the window. The armchair could be positioned to take in the view. Lovely thick carpets. A short drive to Doolin for an evening meal.
The heating was on all night and we couldn't turn the radiators off so we had to open the bathroom and room windows which is a waste of energy. We didn't see anyone as we left to check whether the heating is usually on all night or whether it was a problem.

Was very clean, location was great , comfortable beds everything was exceptionally well.
The only bad part about our stay was another couple staying for the night woke everyone up in the middle of the night. Screaming and fighting for hours . Banging doors, fighting in the communial area no respect to anyone!!!

Clean rooms. Cow field opposite the guesthouse is a lovely view in the morning. Soda bread for breakfast. Comfortable bed. If you're and early riser and not a big drinker, this might be a very good place to book. If you have a car and your focus is going on hikes, the location is good for that. We had a lovely chat with the gentleman who checked us in. Good sized breakfast room. Little chill out area in the front of the house. Perfect reading lamp on bedside table.
You need to know what you are signing up for. Doolin is teeny tiny, but it spreads along the main road and no pavement for the majority of it. This place is quite far up the road, so the closest pub (McDermot's which is a lovely pub) is a 25 min walk. So if you fancy a few drinks in the evening, you'll either walk back on country roads or make a deal with the lads in the pub at the end of their shift to get a lift for about €10. This ofc means staying till the pub closes which is around midnight. There are taxis in theory but when we were there, no taxi driver was working. Or you need a designated driver which can be a pain.
Breakfast - three options were smoked salmon and eggs on toast, American pancakes or waffles. No cooked Irish breakfast on offer was a big surprise for us. There is soda bread, toast, jam and cereal but no meats or cheeses. The scrambled eggs were dry and overcooked both mornings. Breakfast is served until 10AM, and if you chose a late slot (we chose 9:30), you'll find staff making noise sorting out the breakfast room, taking away stuff, organising clean crockery, chatting to each other about tasks etc. We were rather suprised finding ourselves eating breakfast amidst the clattering of crockery, cutlery and so much chatter.
Both staff and guests were speaking loudly in the common spaces early in the morning. We woke up at 8am to a conversation between staff and guests right outside our door - we could hear every word.
One morning I overheard staff saying to guests that Lahinch is not worth their time. I was amused by hearing this in Doolin, as there is certainly more craic in Lahinch than Doolin and I wasn't sure what the purpose of discouraging people from checking Lahinch out was.
