A lovingly restored 19th century farmhouse located in the well-known beautiful village of Fontanile, Piedmont. Fontanile is a hilltop village located in a UNESCO zone surrounded by regional Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Arneis, Chardonnay and Moscato vineyards. The property comprises both a large (main house) and smaller secondary house:
The house has been restored to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment..... a great place to unwind and escape! The facilities include:

- 4 large double bedrooms, 1 en-suite
- Double sofa bed in living room, (5th bedroom)
- 2 further large luxury guest bathrooms
- Large living room, fully equipped, satellite TV, DVD
- Large dining room fully equipped
- Large Kitchen equipped with all modern appliances
- Baby high chair
- Stair guard
- Huge outdoor balcony accessed from kitchen and dining room equipped with outdoor furniture
- The former wine cellars have been converted into a large entertainment/ bar area

We rented this gorgeous villa while in the area for our son's wedding. It is exactly as described and the photos don't do it justice. It is beautifully renovated and has everything a family could need for a vacation.Fontanile is a delightfully quaint little village with a lovely huge church, a wonderful collection of murals, and walkable streets with stunning views to the valleys all around. The bar/cafe a block away is a great spot for a coffee, lunch, or a treat. Fontanile is also just a short drive from many wineries, restaurants and the town of Nizza Monferrato, if you need a break from all the relaxation in the country.We really enjoyed our stay at the villa and would book it again if we ever go back to the area.

We spend one week in this beautiful and big house. Enjoying the views from the terrace and especially the swimming pool. Close to great wine experiences in Monferratos hills.

Very quiet stay otherwise, great pool, the house is extremely old but updated (new bathrooms, showers). Everything is in perfect working order, just old…
The layout is also peculiar - really only single en-suite bathroom, the rest of the bathrooms need to be walked to (across the hall or across the kitchen but still).
But of course the main problem for us was the extreme HEAT. 36 degrees C all day long (we stayed in June), and zero air conditioning - there are old school fans in every single room, but they did not help. Neither did opening the windows during the night - they did let mosquitoes in of course.
We woke up every day drenched in sweat and with horrific headache. Which made it rather difficult to enjoy the rest of our days…
