North Lodge

Beautiful property and location, specifically booked to spend time with friends celebrating our Birthdays and we wanted a property with a hot tub to relax in. We found the property very comfortable, kitchen well equipped with plenty of glasses and plates etc including wash liquid, spare bin bags. Shower gels and hand wash in bathrooms along with extra pillows and dressing gowns were nice touches

It would have been great to have the hot tub warm on our arrival in the afternoon, it took a few hours to reach a suitable temperature, however, the host did respond quickly and recommended using the hot outdoor tap and hose to top it it which helped. We did have an issue with the keybox (wrong number) but that was easily resolved in a few minutes by calling the host. It could be clearer on the booking that a limited supply of toilet rolls would be at the property. We did bring our own just in case. The outside areas were covered in leaves which we had to sweep up each day so as not to get them trodden the inside, appreciate its difficult with all the lovely surrounding trees but didn't seem like recent shedding and maybe something housekeeping could check on before arrivals. We had to wash the glasses before use as had lip marks on them, no big deal, just a note for housekeeping. None of our guests could access the wifi.

The trip was for My Wife, Eldest Son and I to visit our Younger son at Uni. We particularly like the location for both town center and Uni. The house is lovely and comfortable would stay again. Free parking is a plus. Would definitely stay again.

Really could have done with Bath Sheet sized towels for Adults. Towels found to be a little small. Apart from that really enjoyed the stay.

Didn't have a tin opener, towels could of been bath towels. My bed was comfy , would stay again, lovely to spend time with family and chilled

No toilet rolls...the washer didn't work...and once reported to the owner...lip service saying she will try and sort it(i now know she already knew the washer wasnt working as the housekeeper had reported it to her previously a while ago🤔?....also the hot tub wasnt plugged in properly this meaning remained freezing cold(that was the main reason we booked it...couldnt get it fixed the following day but hey ho🙄...had a chat with owner the following day on phone which got heated at some points from us both but I think we were both rough from previous night and timing wasnt great...it is a great house..but had some bad luck...I'm still waiting on an offer of compensation from the owner but nothing as yet....originally I asked for 1 night refund but refused blankly!!....I'd be happy if she offered a free complimentary stay for 2nights in the future excluding peak times rather than monetary but hot tub heated before arrival🙄
