The apartment itself is lovely and bright and very well located with only a short walk into Windsor town center for shops and restaurants or visits to the Castle. Parking also worked well and was only a short walk away in a secure location. Pre check in communication with the host was also very good with clear instructions provided.
Unfortunately, on arrival the standard of cleanliness was quite poor. Dishes and cutlery needed to be washed before use and no dishwasher tablets were provided so we had to go out and buy them. We also had to wipe down all work surfaces and tables, and re-clean the bathroom. The floors could have done with a vacuuming but we couldn't find a vacuum cleaner
There was also a very strong unpleasant smell in the hallway throughout our stay, which was significant enough that we purchased a diffuser in an attempt to manage it during our stay. Additionally, the bins outside were already overflowing when we arrived, with no clear or accessible place to dispose of rubbish during our stay.
The apartment has a lot of positives and could be excellent with improved housekeeping and better preparation for guests
