While in Polače, you can explore the stunning Mljet National Park, with its saltwater lakes and scenic trails perfect for hiking, biking, or kayaking. Visit the ancient ruins of a Roman palace or take a boat ride to St. Mary’s Island to see the Benedictine monastery. The tranquil bay offers opportunities for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing by the sea, while local restaurants serve fresh seafood and traditional Croatian dishes.The main places are Pomena, Polače, and Sobra and in those places, you may find supermarkets, ATMs, restaurants, travel agencies, souvenir shops, etc...Island is regularly connected with Dubrovnik with a ferry from Dubrovnik or Korčula as well as a car ferry connection with Pelješac Peninsula on the Croatian mainland.

Jelena is super nice and the apartment had everything we needed. The national park is within walking distance but a Jelena rented us bikes (be prepared for a steep way up!).
