this was a last minute find, as our original hotel (les appartements du vieux port- horrible experience, do not recommend) cancelled our stay while keeping our money on the very day of our arrival. We felt lucky to find Maison Montgrand and had a very pleasant stay with them. It was centrally located, easy to find, easy to check in and check out from and with very good amenities.

Not all rooms come with a fridge; make sure to book a deluxe room if you want a fridge and larger shower.

The hotel was well located near the port with a main reception and a few apartment buildings which they own. The main building has a lovely restaurant and offers a superb breakfast with a lot of choice. The beds are so comfortable which made our stay even more pleasant.
We were lucky enough to get a room change so we could sleep well as some rooms are on the road side...maybe another double window should be considered to block the road noise from cars.
The only downside which lets the establishment down is the extremely poor Internet. Catastrophique to say the least. One would expect better from this apart/hotel as so much thought has gone into it including their art.
We have to mention Julien on reception as he was one of the highlights of our stay as he is so Professional and is a great ambassador for the place. One hint is to buy the tourist card at the hotel as it gives you access to so many things like buses, metro, boat trip to Frioul, small train.
The Internet and noisy room on the road side plus an opaque screened window to block view to street which we could understand for privacy but unpleasant for us.
