Kona Reef Oceanfront Resort is the 1st choice in vacation rentals. Unit A37 (previously the developers unit) is one of the largest units 1200 sq feet, offering the most spectacular panoramic views of the Pacific and sunsets. Brand new and beautifully decorated fully equipped kitchen, with granite counter tops with new stainless appliances, and new bathrooms. We are one of the 3 condos with Central Air (brand new system installed June 2024).
The space
Great for families featuring 2 bedrooms each with new mattresses, TV's and 2 new full bathrooms, one of the largest living rooms with a new 65" TV.. Brand New Kitchen with all new appliances, and a bar/beverage area. Indoor dining area/workspace with new furniture and central air condition throughout.
Attention triathletes! We are just 1 mile to the Ironman start and finish, and the 1.2 mile ironman swim turnaround is viewable from the lanai, and the run course passes infront of our complex. Great location for training, racing and viewing the the Ironman World Championships. It's everything and more you could want for your Hawaiian vacation.

Location was perfect and convenient to walk to dinner. Enjoyed the view and the condo had everything we needed. Location was quiet and so comfortable.

The unit is in great condition and the location could not be better. You are feet from the oceans edge and an easy 5-10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The complex was very quiet and offered great amenities, including a fantastic pool! I would definitely stay here again if I get lucky to visit Kona a second time!

Terrible communication, owner emailed us the night before we were leaving to inform us the a/c wasn't working. Found out they new about the a/c for at least 10 days! We should have been called and/or sent a text about this issue sooner and then we would have had time to make a change. 3 portable a/c units were put in the unit which we would have dealt with but they didn't work because the breaker kept tripping. The units blocked our view and we caused blinds to not close properly letting bright morning sun to come in 3 sleeping areas. Owners being on east coast didn't pick up the phone because they are sleeping when we are having an issue; while we can't sleep because it's too hot. There are two bedrooms not three. l would not recommend dealing with these unprofessional VRBO owners. We requested some compensation/refund but didn't receive anything. We spent 2 nights without a/c, an extension cord was left at the door on 3rd day. Between the 3 big noisy units and extension cord we had to deal with, the situation that was not ideal. Owners should have done the right thing and refunded us some of the money for our inconvenience.
