overall it was a lovely experience. The cabin itself was beautifully quiet, very well equipped, and wonderfully warm, exactly what you need after a long day out in the Welsh countryside. A big highlight for us was how dog friendly it was, which made the whole trip so much more enjoyable.
The location is perfect for trekking and outdoor adventures, and we made the most of every day exploring the area
The one downside, and it’s worth mentioning because it genuinely impacted our stay, was the shower pressure, which was almost non-existent. When you’re coming back from long hikes with muddy boots and tired legs, a decent shower isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. It’s a real shame because it’s such an easy thing to fix, and would make an already lovely cabin pretty much perfect.

It was so peaceful and the view was beautiful It was very pet friendly and found it was very central for the places we wanted to visit
Really good location for dogs
It was difficult to get someone to come and change bathroom bulbs and had no light in bathroom for two nights
There was no hoover and found it difficult with dustpan and brush to keep floor clean because we had a dog
We were told that the cafe bar was open all year but it wasn’t open
The cabin could do with a bit of updating

The cabin itself is lovely, the location is beautiful. Was nice to have a roof over our heads and a secluded spot to relax.
It definitely hadn’t had a proper clean before we arrived, there was what looked like tea or muddy water up the doorframe of the bathroom, the bathroom itself didn’t smell clean at all and the light fittings that were working had years of dust and cobwebs all over them.
Also the heating was a bit of an issue, we found the restrictions on what heaters we could use- left the cabin feeling cold. Our stay was in between the summer and winter season so I get the reasoning behind it.
The cabin felt overcrowded with things and the decor seemed slapped together but again I get it’s a small space designed for families so there’s a lot to cater for in a small area.
