About this house rental
Perfectly situated on Big Meadow Golf Course in scenic Black Butte Ranch, The Black Beaut Cabin offers the best of resort living in a private setting. Recently renovated in a Scando/NW style, the neutral décor allows the beauty of nature shine through. This is not your average rental...thoughtful design choices throughout with high end comfort. Lovely views from nearly every window, this cabin sleeps 8 and is 1679 square feet. This home is ideally located within biking distance to the main lodge and pool and walking distance to Paulina pool.
Nature meets luxury in this highly intentional space. The cabin is nestled between two aspen groves providing privacy and views. The bedrooms are outfitted with Casper mattresses/pillows, linens from Parachute and Casper, and designer lighting. Two small, stylish bathrooms on the main floor- one with a bathtub/shower combo and the other with a shower. Open concept living space that features designer furnishings, art and décor. A small, but functional galley kitchen that meets all your gourmet needs with a breakfast bar. The dining space is open to the living room with huge windows that allow the nature indoors. A door off the dining room leads you to a large, sunny deck featuring a BBQ and comfortable, sleek outdoor furniture that overlooks the golf course. This space was created with the intention of enjoying a cabin like atmosphere without sacrificing style or comfort.

The home is clean and well stocked with necessities.The living space is comfotable for a group with very nice patio space.We had a clogged drain that was taken care of immediately.I wish there were more bath towels available.I would highly recommend this home hopefully returning in the future.

It was a delightful home, well appointed furnishings, lovely linens, towels & pillows. Kitchen well equipped (other than an no working icemaker). Two tiny bathrooms, they could use mirrors throughout the house so that while others are utilizing the two little bathrooms, others could dry hair or put make up/lotions on. Really nice deck off of the back of the house looking at a golf hole that was fun to observe. All in all it was a lovely stay, we were there for a family reunion so many of our family members had houses scattered throughout Black Butte, we basically just slept at our house but it was delightful!

Beautiful property. Easy to communicate with the owner, Laura. However, there are several issues I had and my concerns are outlined below:
There was a last minute document she wanted us to sign 36 hours prior to arrival. This listed several stipulations / rules of the rental, which were not unreasonable, however should have been sent much sooner than days before arrival. The listing originally said 8 adults max (however I did not think this was a strict stipulation as there are 4 bedrooms in the home - 3 bedrooms with queen/king beds and then 1 Room with 2 bunk beds for 4 children), so the house actually sleeps 10. The bunk room was in the original pictures but they are not in current listing. There was a major issue when she sent us the document 2 days before arrival when I said there were going to be 11 people (6 adults, 4 children and then 1 baby in a pack and play). While we were eventually able to work this out, this is as quite stressful while we were en route to the property from across the country not knowing if we would still be able to proceed with the rental as she said there could not be more than 8 people including children in the document and messages right before arrival. I would not recommend kids going to this rental because the house and furniture are too nice. I was worried the whole time about every little spot and stain (which naturally happens in our home with kids under 7). I cleaned the home and vacuumed daily and still had her text us pictures after we departed of an unknown white spot on the furniture that I still have no clue what this was as we did not allow any food in the living room. Owners have strict rules about no shoes in the house but with how dirty the deck was before it was pressure washed, impossible to not track in some dust and dirt with being barefoot on the porch. Would recommend purchasing insurance through VRBO in case of any damage.
In summary, beautiful house, but would be better not as a non-rental. Not worth the stress and money for a family vacation. Probably better suited for smaller parties and adults only.
