About this villa rental
Villa Elisa is an ancient farmhouse surrounded by greenery completely renovated on two levels.
On the ground floor there is a large living room with exposed stones with a relaxation part consisting of a television, DVD player and sofas for relaxing in company, while in the adjacent part there is a large wooden brother for group dinners; a kitchen equipped with every tool, a service bathroom and a double bedroom with private bathroom which has direct access to the park with swimming pool.
Climbing the characteristic stairs we reach the first floor where you can find 4 bedrooms composed as follows: 2 double and two twins, a games room with window from which you can see the towers of San Gimignano, a relaxation lounge, a study and two bathrooms, one of which with bathtub.
Outside we have a large garden surrounded by olive groves and vineyards with a private outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers, barbeque and everything you need for outdoor dining.
Our Villa is located a few KM from several characteristic villages of the Tuscan countryside:
5 km from Certaldo, famous for the house of the writer Boccaccio;
5 km from Castelfiorentino, where you can see the Bego museum;
7 Km from Montaione, a small tourist village with a terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside;
15 Km from San Gimignano famous for its towers;
30 Km from Volterra, famous for its alabaster creations created by ancient craftsmen;
30 Km from Florence;
50 From Pisa

The best villa we have stayed in the 20years that we have been coming to tuscany. It was well equipped with plenty of room inside and outside. The hostess was very accomodating but also left us to get on with our holiday

Wir waren für 10 Tage in der Villa Elisa und haben jede Sekunde genossen. Die Villa liegt allein auf einem großen Grundstück, umgeben von Weinbergen und absolut ruhig. Die Vermieter wohnen am Ende der Straße, aber gute 500m entfernt. Alle Schlafzimmer sind klimatisiert, was bei der Hitze von enormem Vorteil ist. Der Pool ist riesig, kühl und sauber (wird täglich gereinigt) und die Vermieter sind für Fragen immer erreichbar.
Zu beachten ist, dass die Zufahrt zum Haus über einen sehr holprigen Feldweg geht. Mit unseren "normalen" Autos war das schon schwer zu bewältigen, ein Sportwagen würde bestimmt öfters aufsetzen.
Vermisst haben wir lediglich einige Küchenutensilien, wie z.B. einen Wasserkocher und eine richtige Kaffeemaschine (es ist nur eine ganz kleine Filtermaschine für 1 Tasse da).
Ansonsten absolut super und auch den nicht ganz so günstigen Preis wert!

Eliza und Lorenzo sind ganz liebe Gastgeber. Das Haus ist groß der Pool auch und wir Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig. Vielen Dank nochmals Anneliese und Lorenzo

Emplacement idéal pour visiter la Toscane, proche de San Gimignano et du très joli village de Certaldo. La maison est spacieuse, les chambres sont grandes et les salles de bain nombreuses.
En revanche, la cuisine n'est absolument pas adaptée, peu de plan de travail, frigo trop petit, cafetière pour 2 personnes (compliqué les petits déj quand on est 10 !!!), une seule poubelle minuscule alors qu'il faut faire le tri carton / plastique / verre / organique.
Quelques odeurs nauséabondes dues à une fosse septique trop pleine probablement.
L'extérieur offre une très belle vue sur la campagne Toscane mais la terrasse et le mobilier nécessiteraient un petit rafraîchissement.
La piscine n'est pas de première jeunesse et n'est absolument pas adaptée pour des enfants en bas âge, il faut faire plus d'1m60 pour avoir pied et elle n'est pas sécurisée.
Les propriétaires ont été charmants durant notre séjour et ont eu la gentille attention de nous déposer des oeufs frais un matin mais pas très flexibles sur les conditions de réservation (nous avions initialement réservé pour 6 et ça a été compliqué d'ajouter 4 personnes supplémentaires alors que la maison est bien pour 10 personnes)
Pensez au répulsif anti-moustiques indispensable si vous souhaitez dîner dehors !
