Meget centralt i den gamle bydel og alligevel roligt. Dejlig stor bolig med altan og terrasse med kig til bjergene. Meget venlige værter.

Alt var i orden.

This was a really nice, well-sized flat off a lovely historic square, pretty much in the centre of Aosta. It was modern and the block was clean and pleasant and we found it very quiet (it's well away from any roads) and very welcoming. I had made contact with the host on Whatsapp a few days before-hand to arrange the key collection, and she met us at the outer door of the block of flats as we arrived. She spoke little English and we spoke no Italian so our Whatsapp messages were just put through the google translator which was easy enough. The lounge and kitchen where a good size and nicely furnished. The main bedroom was big with lots of wardrobe storage, and was light and airy with a view over the roof tops to the mountains which was lovely. The second bedroom (which we did not use) was smaller and had a bunk bed but it was not so light as it had a curtained window looking onto the apartment's corridor. Supermarkets were close by, as were some very good restaurants and bakeries. The wifi signal was strong and presented no issues. In all this was a really nice place to stay with a very welcoming and helpful host, and we were very happy with it indeed. It was also great value for money. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Once with the host in the flat, trying to verbally arrange things regarding our stay and in readiness for our departure was challenging due to language! I'd suggest the host presents foreign guests with a pre-written list in Italian of things which they need to know about the flat's rules and features, and the things guests need to do prior to departure (not least what to do with the keys). Guests could then easily translate this with their phones and keep it as a record of instructions (especially a map for the bin location which is well away from the flat). Each bed had only one rather flat pillow. We both like higher pillows so we used the 2 from the spare room as well - I'd suggest additional pillows are left in a wardrobe for guests if they want them. The bathroom was very large and modern, but the shower was surprisingly small and quite awkward to move around in. But the water was hot and the water pressure was strong.
