The heating, hot water supply & the kitchen appliances were excellent & the kitchen was very well equipped although the glasswear & cups were not very clean. The upstairs bedrooms were nicely presented. The main living area was very spacious with plenty of seating which met our needs. Parking was excellent.
Considering the time of year and the fact I had explained in several communications (1 to the owner that wasn't acknowledged) that we were looking forward to a traditional Christmas - outside of Australia - I thought the decorations that were left were extremely underwhelming (pics included). Some of my party (UK residents) are regular users of holiday lettings & properties have always been dressed for the occasion. It was very disappointing on this occasion.
Also disappointing:
- No shower gel or soap provided
- The only toilet rolls were those that were already on the holders & they weren't new
- No change of linen or towels (considering the length of stay)
- The linen & towels were old and worn
- All pillows need to be replaced
- There was no laundry detergent or fabric conditioner
- The bath leaks as the water spout is not sealed
- Only 1 front door key was provided, making days out tricky to manage
- Only a handful of bin liners & only 2 tea towels were provided
- The bed in the 'master bedroom' was extremely uncomfortable as was the furniture in the main living area. I would also question if all compliance standards have been met i.e fire safety regulations.
- We were asked to leave the property clean and tidy but when we tried to use the hoover it smelt rotten
- Inadequate or no bedside lamps & no mirrors in the bedrooms
- Stairs need attention as extremely creaky
- Overall, our opinion is that the property is in need of much tlc
- I would not stay here again or recommend this property

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The location was excellent—just a short walk to the seafront and only 15 minutes from town. Communication from the host was great, with clear instructions. The house itself was very comfortable, with comfy beds and hot, powerful showers. The kitchen was well equipped with oven and microwave, toaster, kettle, a big dishwasher and plenty of cups/plates/utensils. We especially loved the spacious living room and the lovely garden, which made for a relaxing stay. Overall, a great place for a family getaway—would highly recommend!
The kitchen utensils, cups and glasses were not very clean, so we had to wash them before use. We also weren’t provided with enough bin bags or dishwasher tablets, which would have been helpful. The sofas in the living room are quite old and not the most comfortable, and we were only given one set of keys, which was a bit inconvenient for a family.

Excellent location. Very quiet lane. Large bedrooms. Plenty of living space. Very well equipped kitchen. Great time for three couples.
