About this house rental
Large fully privatized house, 315 sqm with 8 bedrooms and a large garden, a heated and secure swimming pool (with perimeter fencing), playground for children.
The house:
- 8 bedrooms upstairs (6 with 160cm beds, bed, 1 with two 90cm twin beds, 1 with a 90cm bed)
- 4 bathrooms with shower, sink and towel dryer (one with bathtub)
- 3 toilets
- A large and well-equipped kitchen (oven, 4 induction stoves, microwave, dishwasher, steamer, plate warmer, extractor, 2 fridges, freezer, blender, immersion blender, toaster, kettle, 2 coffee pots, tableware in large quantity)
- A large dining room with 15 chairs
- A very spacious and comfortable living room with wood stove (Installed in November 2019)

- Equipment for children (stair gate, highchairs, folding crib, bottle warmer, dishes, baby bath, mini chopper etc.)

Terms of cancelation:
- Reservations canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will be refunded.

The gorgeous historic farmhouse of Le Grand Launay is perfect for large family groups, with thick stone walls and shutters keeping it cool in the heat of the day, and the lovely pool for a refreshing dip. The children loved feeding the pigs next door, and playing snooker in the sitting room. 3 huge rooms downstairs provided ample space for everyone, and the large table in the dining room allowed us all to eat together, as well as an amazing gas BBQ and shaded outdoor eating area. It is set in beautiful countryside but only 5 mins from bakeries, supermarkets and local markets. Rennes is a short drive away, and there is plenty to visit locally. There is covered parking for up to 4 cars, which makes a huge difference in the heat. The kitchen is huge with everything you could possibly need (oven, microwave, hob, steamer, plate warmer, dishwasher), and 2 fridges/freezers meant there was plenty of room to store all our purchase from the wonderful local market in Pace! Our host, Matthieu, was incredibly welcoming and kind, very easy to communicate with, and helpful with explaining how everything worked. It is only 2.5hrs drive from Cherbourg. I would thoroughly recommend Le Grand Launay as an ideal holiday house!

A very spacious property with good facilities for the children in the party (play area, swimming pool, toys). The kitchen was easy to use and had everything we needed and more. It was a pleasant 20 minute walk to the local shops. We were not far from different sightseeing locations, when we wanted something different, but could easily have spent all our time at the property.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette belle et grande maison , très confortable et très bien aménagée pour une famille comme la nôtre composée de 2 grands-parents, 4 enfants et leurs conjoints et 5 petits-enfants ages de 2 mois à 7 ans. Tout est concu et équipé pour que les enfants comme les adultes puissent se divertir : nombreux jeux et équipements pour les enfants, et la piscine, très agréable et sécurisée, très appréciée par tous. Très bon accueil du propriétaire très disponible si on a besoin et très discret sinon. Une bonne adresse à retenir pour passer un bon moment en famille pour des vacances ou une fête familiale.

Nous avons passé un très bon moment entre amis. La maison possède de beaux espaces, c'est idéal pour les grands groupes. Matthieu le propriétaire a été très accueillant et a répondu à toutes nos questions très vite. Nous ne pouvons que recommander !
