This wonderful holiday home rests on a small secluded bay, in between two hills, on the island of Evia, across from the mainland Attica.
Its unique location allows it to be hidden away from busy towns and certainly mainstream tourism, thus providing peace and quiet, without it being far from civilization. A small fishing village with excellent fresh fish taverns is located only 10 minutes away by car, and larger seaside towns with a more lively night life at a 20 minute drive radius. Furthermore, since the island of Evia is connected to the mainland via several ferry boats and a bridge, the Athens airport is less than 2 hours away.
The rarity of this home however lies elsewhere. Its western garden gate opens literally on a gorgeous beach with crystal clear turquoise waters spreading out before it, giving the phrase 'on the beach' new meaning. Moreover, thanks to the protection provided by the surrounding hills, the sea is always calm and inviting, even when 'Aeolos', the god of wind, is excited...
The home itself includes three bedrooms -the master bedroom with a private bathroom-, a large living room with a fireplace, dining area, and a large fully equipped kitchen. Outside, the home boasts two large terraces -one sheltered, and one completely alfresco-, both complete with dining areas, an old style stone barbecue, and a large garden which includes open areas, various fruit bearing trees and a swing set; all overlooking an enchanting sea view.

Stayed at this beautiful location with family and friends for 7 nights! The host Mrs Irene was super friendly and sweet. Along with Alex (who was very helpful, amazing) and provided us with all the information required for this location, direction, restaurants and local shops.
Stores are located about 30ish min away so ensure you stop on the way to get your groceries.
The location is also very private. The beach was heaven and pretty much private - prefect for families.
Would book this house again - 100%

We had the perfect holiday in this property. The property has a large garden which runs parallel to the beach in a quiet bay and faces directly out to sea . The gate in the pictures is at the bottom of the garden and is 1 minute's walk from the large patio outside the house. The bay is really quiet and beautiful and we were often the only people on the beach and in the sea. The house itself is also really lovely to be in - the living area is spacious and there are two large windows which look right out to sea. They are difficult to photograph because of the brightness of the sea and sky and the photographs of the house don't really do justice to the views . We intended to explore Evia, but in the end spent 10 days mostly in the house area or swimming/on the beach as it was such a lovely place to be. The nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away, but the roads are fine and the house is so well equipped (far better than other self catering places we have been to) that we didn't feel the need to seek out restaurants , although the seafood at the beach front restaurant in porto buffalo was really good . The host Eirini was charming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble . We met up with Eirini at the entrance to Porto Buffalo after texting en route and getting to the property could not have been easier. If we are able to, we would all love to visit again.

My family and I (4 adults, 3 kids) had an amazing time here! The house is lovely, clean, well-equipped, quiet, with views of the magnificent small bay. The beach starts literally at the edge of the enormous house garden and is almost private. I mean, we read the description before coming but we couldn’t believe how true it was! We mostly had the entire bay to ourselves for the duration of our stay. An added bonus is that the bay is protected by surrounding hills and isn’t affected by winds, plus that the water’s edge is shallow so we felt very safe for the kids.
Our stay was so amazing, like time stopped at the perfect point and our family was so relaxed and happy. The entire area is hidden away from it all, we saw only a few local people who also enjoy the blissful location. We went shopping the first day and never felt the need to leave the house. Porto Buffalo village is 5 minutes by car and has shops and a couple of lovely-looking tavernas but honestly, we preferred the luxury of our privacy at the house!
Irene, the house owner, and Alex, property manager both were amazing, super helpful and made our stay so comfortable and pleasant. Thank you both very much!

Mbuffalo is a small fishing village located on the Island of Evia, Greece. The house is located a little further away which was a challenge to find for anyone hence we needed assistance. Once at property we couldn’t believe how private this place away. The view of the beautiful bay from the front verandah is so lovely it’s hard to believe that we had this whole beach to ourselves mostly for 6 days. We shared the beach with a couple of small boats that had made this their home for a couple of days, along with approximately 10 maximum walk in day beach lovers. This never interfered with our gated privacy to the property. There are small pebbles between foreshore and 2 meters into water but then you have sand. The water was deliciously refreshing and also warm. Would loved to have stayed longer.
The negative on the property is we didn’t get to meet the owner as suggested providing us with details and things to do in area. We did meet the owners daughter who helped us find our way to property which was a blessing. The property is tired and needs to provide non speaking Greek guests an instructions manual to assit them with the operational needs. Lucky we were mechanical minded! Also have house presented in a clean ready to go for guests and not have refrigerators unclean with leftover food from previous visitors. I wasn’t a great start to our holiday however, we had a great time, the house is in an awesome location and yes if the chance comes again to visit we will.
