The Stable at Ty Beic

Lovely and quaint cottage. Gorgeous views all around - enjoyed sitting and watching the cows and sheep in the fields. Friendly and accommodating host with 2 cute dogs to say hello to. Property clean and very comfortable and cosy. Great location with good local shops and amenities and the gorgeous lake in Bala.

Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay.

Everything you need is there - the place is warm and cosy with the underfloor heating - Karen has maps for walks straight from the property and all info for getting food or eating out. The stable is well kept and clean. Karen is lovely and helpful, she sends very clear instructions on getting to the property so easy to find.

A gated garden area for the dog would be nice but there were still plenty of dedicated places to walk her for the loo right outside the door so not an issue, just a nice to have.

Stunning location, clean, comfortable and homely. Everything you need with the most comfortable bed. Lovely host. Loads of different spots to sit and enjoy the views Location was central to lots of places to visit.

It was clean

It was not central to anywhere (no helpful maps to get you to the nearest place to eat); breakfast was not included despite it being listed as Bed & Breakfast on every website (including their own), so very pricey for what was just a room in a shared home. The kettle was also placed under the bedside table (the only plug socket), but it didn't seem safe to us. When we gave constructive feedback the next day, the owners accepted the descriptions on the internet were incorrect, got a little defensive, and at one point (and over the phone), got a little aggressive. We sensed this and so calmly ended the conversation.
