Shepherds Hut on Alpaca and working farm

Beautiful location, amazing hosts and the cheekiest but most loving donkeys I've ever met! We booked the shepherds hut for bank holiday weekend get away. Somewhere with limited distractions and a peaceful setting. We arrived later than anticipated which I felt awful about but Gayle was so friendly and inviting despite how late we got there. She showed us to the hut and gave us all the information we needed. Even made some great suggestions for food spots! Our neighbours (the donkeys) made the trip. As soon as you wake up you find yourself looking for them with a big smile on your face. The alpacas, pigs, cows and chickens were also amazing and it really made you feel part of the farm getting to see them every day. This was the first time we have stayed in a shepherds hut and we absolutely will be back again soon! Highly recommend to anyone.

absolutely lovely, loved walking around the farm, the stars at night time and hearing all the animals and birds in the evening. hosts were exceptional. Thank you very much.

An absolute gem! We had the most amazing stay and we are already looking to come back again! The farm is so peaceful and if you love animals like we do then this place is perfect! Our favourites were the two donkeys (Poppy and Pippin) who would greet us in the mornings outside our hut! Gayle and her family are warm, welcoming hosts and we really felt well taken care of. The hut had everything we needed and even had some nice additional touches we weren't expecting such as cooking oil, washing up liquid and multiple usb ports. This was up there with one of, if not the best stays we've had in the UK and we can't wait to go back!
