About this villa rental
18 km from Saint Tropez and 5 minutes from the centre of Cavalaire sur Mer, the 170m2 villa, classified 3*, is ideally located in a sought-after and very quiet area, close to all amenities and 2 km from the sandy beach!
We fell in love with the brightness of this house with its bay windows, the volume of the living room, its garden with trees and the several terraces with different atmospheres (pool side, garden side, sea side or in the shade under the eucalyptus ....)
The swimming pool is south facing and heated from mid April to the end of October (removable protective net securing the entire pool installed at the request of holidaymakers for the protection of children).
The villa is composed of an entrance hall, a spacious living room with a functional fireplace, an open plan fitted and equipped kitchen, two bedrooms with storage space separated by a large bathroom with shower area. These two bedrooms are very bright because of their direct access to the terraces. On the lower level, there are two bedrooms, one of which is very large, with a skylight (no windows), shower room with toilet.

CLEANING IS COMPULSORY AND MUST BE PAID FOR IN ADDITION TO THE RENTAL PRICE (FIXED PRICE OF 250€ INCLUDING VAT TO BE PAID ON THE DAY OF YOUR ARRIVAL).
During your stay, a cleaning lady can be put at your disposal on request (fixed price or hourly rate to see on the spot).
BED LINEN AND TOWELS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL OF THE VILLA.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO RENT SHEETS AND TOWELS FOR 30,00€ PER PERSON (BEDS MADE ON ARRIVAL) AND PER WEEK.
You have to ask for it as soon as possible.
A cot with additional mattress and a high chair for small children are available. One of the 180/200 beds can be converted into 2 separate 90 beds.

Good position, quiet and relaxing. Easy access to beach front by car, bus or walking. Well equipped villa with great pool. Lower floor bedroom very dark, lacks windows. Overall a very enjoyable week.

A dreamlike house in the mountains with sea views that leaves nothing to be desired. The pool is very large and heated. The beautiful garden design with great attention to detail was very striking. The furnishings are also very tasteful and so you can relax in the house even when the weather is not so good. The contact with the owners and the service on site was excellent, we were always helped very quickly. A clear recommendation from us. We would love to come back.

Die Villa Cyrano ist sehr schön, hoch- und neuwertig ausgestattet, mit großen, eingezäuntem Außenbereichen und ruhiger Panorama-Lage in den Bergen und kurzer Autofahrt zu Stränden und Ort.
Leider müssen wir folgende Mängel kritisieren:
Zusätzlich zu dem nicht unerheblichen Mietpreis, sind Nebenkosten beim Check-in vor Ort zu zahlen.
Zum einen, eine Endreinigungsgebühr EUR 200,--, über die auf der Buchungsseite nicht informiert wird, jedenfalls kann ich keinen Hinweis dazu finden.. Die Information über diese zusätzliche Zahlung erfolgte erst wenige Tage vor Anreise vom Vermieter.
Des Weiteren ist zusätzlich pro Person und Woche für Bettwäsche und Handtücher zu zahlen, worüber aber zumindest im Kleingedruckten der Objektbeschreibung informiert wird. Wenn man - wie wir - zu zweit reist, muss zwar das Wäschepaket für 2 bezahlt werden, die zweite Bettwäsche haben wir aber erst erhalten, nach dem wir uns beschwert hatten.
Eine Grundausstattung an Toilettenpapier, Müllbeuteln, Geschirrtabs war nicht vorhanden. Bei Anreise an einem Feiertag ärgerlich, aber die Verwalterin brachte uns dann zumindest kurzfristig das Papier.
Der Pool ist schön, wird aber wohl nur einmal wöchentlich gereinigt/gepflegt, was unzureichend ist, in einer Region mit regelmäßigen Winden und einer Pool-Umgebung sandiger Hügel. Nach 3 Tagen war dementsprechend der Boden des Pools versandet. Eine Schutz-Poolabdeckung war nicht vorhanden - wird aber in der Beschreibung des Hauses beworben.
Ebenso beworben wird der Pool als "beheizt". Das war er auch ohne Zweifel in den ersten 2 Tagen - badewannenwarm mit 28 Grad. Obwohl ab dem 3. Tag die Außentemperaturen auf über 30 Grad anstiegen, wurde der Pool immer kälter - am letzten 6. Tag nur noch 23 Grad auf dem Thermometer., gefühlt unbeheizt..
Angegebene Check-Out Zeit ist 10:00, aber bereits ab 08:00 begannen Reinigungsarbeiten im Pool und Garten, ohne dass die Gäste darüber informiert wurden.
Somit konnten wir Pool und Garten am Abreisetag nicht mehr nutzen. Eine Endreinigung vor der Check-Out Zeit noch während Anwesenheit der Gäste,, ist aus bisheriger Lebenserfahrung zumindest ungewöhnlich. Aus hygienischer Sicht für nachfolgende Gäste problematisch.
