AirHosted - Lucerne City Centre

Our stay was excellent and in summary the flat had everything to make the stay co.fortable. The location of the flat was very good - if you walk moderate or slowly, it takes 15 minutes by foot to the rail station, 10 minutes to the chapel bridge and 2 minutes to the bus stops on both directions. There are some grocery stores downstairs with limited supply. However, other grocery stores are located on the way from / to the station. The rooms were quite big and it can sleep 6 people in total comfortably - there were enough bedding for everyone. The bathroom was big too, so guests do not have to compromise on space ! The view from the balcony was excellent as well. The kitchen was also good and everything was functional.

The pans of the kitchen could have been mid sized. The lift was very small. While booking via booking.com, the deposit can be avoided.

Location is excellent. Comfy pillows and sleeping accommodations. Terrace is a nice feature with views of the Musseggmaur wall and towers and of sunrise above Mt Rigi.

Real curtains are needed. Property only has sheer curtains in most of the apartment and the sun comes blazing in in the morning. General decor and whatnot is minimal and a bit cheap, IKEA everywhere. Key situation is also odd. Only one key is provided but the apartment cannot be locked—or unlocked—even from the inside—without the key. This made for less than ideal situations with a group. If anyone leaves the apartment they have to leave the key with the group staying in and call later to he let in front six floors down. Otherwise the apartment can’t be locked without locking people inside—a huge fire hazard. Not a dealbreaker just an inconvenience if people aren’t all entering/leaving together. This kind of door lock really needs to provide a second key.

This was the perfect apartment for our stay in Luzern. It was easy walking to the city sights. It was so well appointed and had everything we needed. The views are great from the balcony. There are supermarkets dotted all around for all our needs.

The floors had us stubbing our toes a lot. The neighbor had a very loud party. The kitchen was tiny. The decorations were flimsy and cheap looking, letting us know that this was never intended to be a comfortable space.
