Haras de la Valterie

Le parc magnifique, immense et aménagé de façon à la fois naturelle et soignée : arbustes fleuris , petite cours d’eau, chemins et cascades… Le gîte très agréable, un peu excentre par rapport aux autres. Très confortable.

Rien.La piscine, non chauffée en ce début était déjà très baignable , cependant 2 familles avec enfants n’avaient aucun respect pour la tranquillité des autres , peut être interdire les sauts dans l’eau favoriserait celle-ci.

We had a fabulous stay! This is the perfect place to enjoy nature and calm down. We stayed in the “poupee” house and it really was like spending a few days in a fairytale. With the view and sound of the water just in front of the house, direct view on the horses and waking up with the sound of the birds, you are fully immersed in nature. The owners really thought about everything! Boardgames in the house, a fantastic heated pool, a sauna and even a gym or petanque if you want to get more active. We also visited some great villages nearby. We will definitely go back soon!

The property is beautiful and right out of a fairytale. Our house was tucked away with a private gate so we could come and go as we pleased. Our kids (6 and 3 years old) enjoyed running through the apple orchards, skimming rocks in the steams, swinging on the swings and jumping on the trampoline. Although, their favorite part, was roasting marshmallows in the open-fireplace and playing with the owners dogs. Our host Laurent (who was wonderful and very kind) has the sweetest dogs on the property and my kids absolutely loved hanging out with them everyday. We had to bribe the kids to go off the property (in order to see the sites in Normandy) by promising them that we would stop by a store on the way back and pick-up treats and toys for the dogs. It was by far their favorite part. It was a lovely family vacation and we hope to return in the summer to relax by the pool and enjoy the roses blooming (and of course for the kids to see the dogs ).

Nothing. My kids would say, “that they had to leave the dogs” 😂
