Beds are uncomfortable like sleeping on concrete. Damp smell throughout the building which is expected for 300+ year old gaff but ... We hired the boudoir staff was great food was great. Would stop again. Family room has a good size

I loved the building and the grounds were lovely.
No shower cap in the bathroom which had only a drench shower head so not easy to avoid getting hair wet.

The hotel was dog friendly and although I didn't take my own dog, it was lovely to see all the dogs there during crufts weekend. A waiter inadvertently took my food early while i used the bathroom but provided me with a free desert which was lovely. We had a problem with our room and we were moved for our second night into another room with no difficulty.
Unfortunately on our first night stay we didn't sleep very much at all approximately only two hours because there was an electrical buzzing noise outside of our room that was loud enough to keep us awake. We were moved to another room for our second night however this room did not have Wi-Fi and the bathroom was shabby and unclean and the room was just not up to the standard of our previous room.
