So we were on a five-day pilgrimage across Italy - from Assisi to Padua, Loreto to San Giovanni Rotondo.
Out of all the places we stayed at - San Francesco Hotel was our favourite experience! The hotel is a converted monastery which added to the religious experience. The receptionist who greeted us in the evening was so chirpy and friendly - we unfortunately didn't get her name.
We loved everything about our stay and most especially the room given to us - which had an amazing view of the Sanctuary.
The only thing I might not recommend is having dinner there. We were too tired to go anywhere else - so we had at the hotel itself.
