Murphys is a magical place! The staff were all brilliant, including the receptionist on her first shift! The bar is authentically old Irish, it has been owned by the same family since 1955. There was excellent live music, and even some impromptu Irish dancing. I would stay here again.
It is a little noisy being on the main street but it didn't bother us at all.

Good staff, good room, good bed - what more do you need. It's not the cheapest and it's not overly luxurious but if you want a nice, comfortable stay in the heart of Killarney this is a great option. Parking is available in the car park right across the street and it's free after hours so I think it cost me 6 euro total. Didn't get breakfast so can't speak to that.
Got woken up a couple of times with heavy doors closing after but late night revelers were not unexpected here.

No food served after 8:00 pm. Ventured down the road to find somewhere still serving food Room was too hot. Had to turn off radiators and open window to cool room down Opening window allowed in the racket of roosting pigeons in narrow gap between building
