Killarney Riverside Hotel

The hotel was lovely. The staff were very nice. We did find it a little pricey for 3 nights with no full breakfast, although there was a "continental" breakfast available (mini boxes cereal, cheeses, croissants, & toast". The location was a short 10/15 minute walk into the town centre. There was a phone at reception which connected you directly to the local taxi company which was great. We would definitely stay again.

The only down side was the no full breakfast but looking at other locations, this seems to be the norm now. Also, no Iron in the room was a downer for me. We could have phoned reception to bring one up but due to our own timelines, we just didn't have time to wait for it to come up etc. It would have been great to have one to hand in the room.

Was a walkable distance to the main town. Rooms were clean and tidy. Complimentary continental buffet breakfast was basic but welcomed. Although they ran out of lots of items which we then had to ask to be replenished, they were topped up.

Staff were polite, but not overly friendly.

Very friendly service, shout outs to Miguel, Fallon and Sheila.

Excellent location, walking distance from town, few minutes walk from INEX.. Perfect also for touring most of the peninsulas, for driving to Cork. Cobh, Schull etc. Staff throughout all very attentive and helpful, food excellent, nice bar plenty of parking. Bed very comfortable., Would return but for the lack of accessible accommodation. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Please note hotel does not have any disabled rooms , all showers in all rooms are over baths. We were advised of this by email which I missed, so my own fault. Manager also went out of her way to organise transfer to a sister hotel on other side of town with suitable accommodation but we were going to INEX nearby so opted to stay put. Made do with washing at sink.
