Le Jardin d'Emile

The room itself was amazing, with high ceilings and wood beams and a super modern bathroom that was surprisingly big and included a tub. But the other thing that distinguished it was the view out onto the water and beach, and how quiet it was. Also, having parking right there on the premises was amazing. Oh, and the breakfast was incredible, filling and delicious.

I have no complaints

Location. Ambience. A lovely building. Nice people.

Some impractical features. No bathroom door or shower curtain. No access tonl lounge area in the evening.

Location. Sweet, historic hotel. Breakfast was delicious and served in our room at request. The restaurant next door was a gem. Great food, great service and good value.

Most of the staff were wonderful. However, the older woman, was offensively rude. There was a misunderstanding about breakfast our first day and even though we had put our request in writing it was not honored and we were blamed for having a nonexistent conversation with another member of staff for it having been cancelled. I was further blamed, in French, by this older woman a day later for not having a basic understanding of French. While as a tourist, I have no responsibility to know French for a 2 week vacation, I do have some basic skills and understood her criticism- which was intended to belittle me and not be understood. As an aside, I do have proficiency in Spanish, and some basic French. My daughter who was traveling with me IS proficient in French.
