The hotel chateau was beautiful. The staff was beyond helpful and nice. There was plenty of parking, and the location was easy to find on GPS. Good location if you’re visiting the Loire Valley castles and you have a car to get around. Breakfast was also delicious.
When we booked the hotel, we booked a Pavillion room. On booking.com it doesn’t specify that this is actually not on the main chateau but rather another building just adjacent. This building looked more like a provincial apartment complex and functioned fine for us, but with the reservation we definitely thought we were going to have a chateau room with a view into a pavilion, not a room that was farther away.

The property is pretty, the manor looks impressive and the main areas in the house (bar/lounge for instance) has a cool vibe. My room on the 4th floor was fine, oddly spacious but with a lot of unused space. There was air conditioning and it worked great, something that was more rare with my other stays in the area.
While the property looks impressive on the outside and the grounds are pretty, you see the wear a bit more up close and the stay experience is a bit sparse vs. hospitable (particularly relative to other stays in the area). For instance, the room had a kettle and instant coffee but no coffee machine (this was maybe just the room I was staying in?), there's only a cheap wall hair dryer vs. a normal one hotels typically provide, and they only provided one bath towel since I was one person. Breakfast was $26 for a simple buffet so I skipped. One other challenge I had in my 4th floor room specifically was that I had slanted windows and one didn't have a blackout curtain so was super bright early in the morning.

Loves the majestic main house and gardens. My room was very comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast each morning.
I’d love to have wash cloths in the bathrooms and a sheet under the duvet/comforter. The heavy comforter can be very warm in the night. 😜

The property is truly beautiful, with extensive grounds that are perfect for walking the dog. The hotel is easy to find, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.
The staff in the afternoon didn’t seem particularly friendly, though to be fair, they seemed quite stressed as there was only one person managing the reception. I was also disappointed that I had contacted the hotel in advance to arrange dinner at the restaurant and was told I could dine on the terrace, but upon arrival, the restaurant was closed. After driving more than eight hours, it was quite frustrating to have to find an alternative at the last minute — not something you would expect from a four-star hotel.
