This is a wonderful hotel with an exceptionally kind and welcoming young host (unfortunately, I didn’t catch his name, but sending him my warm regards and many thanks for the hospitality).
We enjoyed a delicious local dinner, had easy walking access to Château de Villandry with its beautiful gardens, and truly appreciated the chance to soak in such a lovely setting.
Highly recommended!

We liked that parking was onsight since we were driving a rental car. We liked the view from the upstairs room onto the property and field with cows grazing. We liked the friendlyness of the owners and staff. The Chateau Villandry is right in the town. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful.
The building has been totally renovated to modern standards which sometimes can have a cold feeling and not very cozy. Our room was not swept or straightened for the days that we were there. We did not like the fact that it was hard to get meal nearby or at the hotel without spending more than $25 euros per person. We don't spend that much back home on a daily basis and since we were staying 4 nights it was not viable. The surrounding area is very quiet, VERY QUIET. There were no shops of interest nearby. Thank goodness there was a boulangerie nearby that opened very early when we set out every day for exploring. We chose this location as a base for exploring the Loire Valley, but would have preferred something with better eating choices and shopping and entertainment.
