Amazing breakfast, from local food to western options. Shopping mall walking distance away and interesting cultural items to visit within the area. Rent a bike and explore the canal, all the way to West Lake.

The property itself was nice, spacious and spread-out so you don’t really bump into many people even though there were lots of guests (you can tell when you go for the breakfast). We love that we could walk out directly to the canal next to it, the shops along Dadou historic street is quaint and nice on a weekday, not crazy crowded like Xiaohe, Qinghefang and Westlake.
Breakfast spread was great - we tried many items not available in a western breakfast buffet eg steam huaishan, millet porridge, etc. however, weekend crowd was crazy. No seats and often you need to share table. The buffet area was also messy - food dropped all over the table and the staff can’t keep up with cleaning. They had to use some part time staff and service satisfaction was definitely affected. The noodle-cooking counter staff was also not welcoming 😞

The room we got was a smokers room and everyone around us were smokers so we could really smell the cigarettes

The hotel is located just right next to the canal with a whole stretch of small local shops and food, nice for a stroll. Transportation is not an issue too, but easier to take cab if you travel with elderly, especially in the winter. The establishment is fusion with modern and tradition elements, offer good breakfast. The interior of the room is however very dated for a 5 star hotel. Staff are very helpful, they always try their best to support your need.
The room was very dated, feel like a 3 or 4 star hotel room.
