Le Parvis

Can't beat the location as you are on the main square to the side. Breakfast was wonderful - fresh orange juice! and the usuals, croissant, cheese, jam, coffee, etc. Staff was very friendly (family business). Room was impeccable. If you are looking for a place that has character, historic yet very comfortable, clean and centrally located, that's what Parvis offers.

Lots of stairs to get to top floor where we stayed. Not an issue for us, but you should be aware. No elevator.

The location is superb. Our bedroom window looked out over the cathedral, enabling us to watch a light show projected on to the cathedral at nightfall. Magical! Parking in the cathedral carpark was also very straight forward and, unlike some underground carparks we have used in France, this one was extremely spacious. Breakfast at the hotel was very good, with excellent fresh orange juice and ample food.

The hotel works on a DIY check in and check out basis, so there is no-one to explain anything or to ask if there's a problem. There was a telephone number to call, but if you don't have a French phone, or feel you can't cope with a phone conversation in French, this isn't very useful. It relies on QR codes to help guests instead of providing printed materials. We struggle to use QR codes so we couldn't initially find refreshment facilities (which were hidden in a wardrobe), or discover when breakfast started. However, we were telephoned several hours after our arrival and things were explained, but this was rather late. The room was also in need of some decoration. We would still recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again. The staff we met or spoke to were very helpful; the shower was great and the room very clean and spacious, but it is quirky rather than luxurious.
