Inverness Student Hotel

The location is right near the castle, small little cozy warm hostel nestled right on the slope. The beds were comfortable and kitchen good. Staff was sweet and the vibe was warm and cozy. You could just spend peaceful time in the living area.

The rooms are little cold, and the heating doesn’t set in quite properly so I was shivering through the night, carry some layers.

I stayed here for one night before leaving early for a tour. The value for money is fair, the facilities are nice, and the people are friendly. There is space to cook and organise your own food, which is very convenient. The location is excellent. Many guests stay here before or after outdoor activities, so the atmosphere is respectful and quiet.

Although it is comfortable, I wouldn’t stay much longer than one night, as the rooms don’t really have storage, so it becomes a bit of a “Tetris game” in a shared dorm of six people with all their backpacks, shoes, and belongings. The bathrooms are also few and quite tight, with not much space to move around. That said, for a short stay it is perfect. It’s also a good place to socialise without being a “party hostel”.

The staff were friendly and the location was great.

The showers were dirty and didn’t drain and the rooms were cramped.
