I traveled to Sala Baganza for a work event happening in a nearby town. My wife and our small dog traveled with me. We were impressed by the size of the bedroom; as well as the lovely big bathroom with a double sinks and a huge bath. The rooms were very clean and there were enough towels & toiletries.
The beautifully maintained building, tidy grounds, lovely views of the Emilia Romagna countryside and antique wooden furniture was relaxing for my wife. It was a rainy weekend so my wife went for a few short walks with the dog; and then mostly relaxed in our room.
The optional breakfast was extremely generous and very good value for money.
The hosts made us feel welcome without intruding; and they didn't have a problem with our dog joining us.
There was nothing wrong with the property itself. No complaints at all!
Guests should perhaps be made aware that the nearest restaurant - and town - is just over 5kms away. So if - for example - one person is going off in the car, it's not easy for the other person to just walk and get lunch. Especially if it's raining or cold. We misunderstood the map and made that mistake - but the breakfast was so big we didn't actually need lunch. :)
Also, the hosts have provided a fridge, beers, soft drinks, sparkling wine, a toaster oven, crockery, cutlery, a kettle, a coffee machine, tea and coffee in the room - so with some planning, it is possible to do a little self-catering for lunch and then drive into town for dinner.

The room was absolutely beautiful: a lot of charm, big, clean and nice view. It was nice for jogging in the area. The breakfast was delicious and felt extra luxurious when it was served in the bedroom. This place is absolutely worth a detour if you are nearby!
