We had a wonderful stay at Château Montabert. The château itself is absolutely beautiful — full of character and charm. Our host was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Despite very little notice, she kindly prepared a delicious three-course meal for us, which was a real highlight. Breakfast the following morning was equally impressive, with excellent food and drink sourced locally (some from within the grounds of the Chateau). The room was very comfortable, with a superb bed and genuinely excellent pillows. All in all, a fantastic stay. We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend Château Montabert to anyone looking for a special and welcoming place to stay.

Lovely location - pool great - breakfast great.
Disappointed that I had arranged ahead of time to be cooked a meal by owner - when we arrived - told there was no meal!! So after a ten hour drive we had to go again to a restaurant. Unfortunately a large group had obviously booked and they were given the evening meal and the nice rooms on the lower floor - felt that we were shoved upstairs into the family room with no views unless on tip toes! Wished they had told us that they had received a better larger booking and there was no food and I would have booked somewhere else!
