Staff are so friendly and accommodating had a pleasant day . Room was nice and cosy . Liked the fresh milk in a glass bottle . Plenty of tea coffee sugar worth every penny

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend at the Corner House Hotel. It is situated a little way out of the town centre, but not too far. The hotel has some nice character, particularly in the communal areas. There is a pleasant bar as well as restaurant.
We had a "compact" room - actually the room was fine for size and we had a large bathroom with bath / shower. Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch.
All staff (from cleaners to reception) were outstanding - always attentive, friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a shortish evening menu but the food was superb. Both food and wine were good value. We only had breakfast (continental buffet) one morning - here I felt there could have been a bit more variety in the buffet but what was on offer was good.
For my next visit to Taunton I will definitely stay and eat at this hotel.

The hotel staff especially the receptionist gentleman gave us very useful and valuable options as we were with big luggage. That option is to choose an apartment in that hotel instead of the booked hotel room. So now we are happy with the microwave and washing machine.
