This was our fifth stay at Green Forest, and somehow it keeps getting better. Some places impress you once. This place captures your heart and never lets go. A place that feels like home from the moment you arrive.
No matter how many photos you take or how many words you write, it is impossible to fully describe the feeling of being here. Hidden in the woods, far from noise and distractions, Green Forest offers something truly priceless — peace. The kind of silence that resets you. The kind of air that makes you breathe deeper. The kind of mornings that feel slower and softer.
Once again, we watched foxes and squirrels wander near the house, as if welcoming us back. Nature here does not feel like a backdrop — it feels like part of the experience, alive and generous.
The house itself is everything you could wish for: modern, beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, yet incredibly warm and cozy. It is spacious enough for large groups, perfectly comfortable, with plenty of room to gather together, It is a house made for laughter, long dinners, board games, deep conversations and shared memories.
The kitchen has absolutely everything you need, but if you decide to treat yourself, the owner’s cooking is on another level. Breakfast and dinner were simply outstanding — organic, rich, full of authentic flavors and prepared with so much care. And the poppy seed strudel remains unforgettable.
Winter adds a special magic. The fireplace, central and floor heating make the house feel like a warm embrace while outside the snow falls heavily. Sitting in your pajamas, watching a snow blizzard through the glass patio with a full view of the forest, feels almost surreal. Morning coffee in the rocking chair, while the white-covered trees slowly wake up — that moment alone is worth the trip.
We are already counting the days until we return. Green Forest is not just a place we stay at. It is a tradition, a ritual, a reset, a memory we keep building year after year.

Everything was even better than in the pictures. The house was perfectly clean and equipped with absolutely everything you could imagine.
Lidija and Peter were incredibly kind and helpful. They answered all our questions, helped us find musical events, gave great tips on sights to see, and prepared wonderful breakfast and dinner — including gluten-free options. Their care and attention truly came from the heart.
We traveled with our dog, and it was wonderful to see how quickly he became friends with their dogs as well.
If there are available dates, don’t hesitate — book it immediately. You’ll be grateful you did.

Perfect location, nice, roomy cousy house, where everything is made smart and decorated with love.
Plenty of space for big famyli or big company. Hospitable host.

We had an amazing stay!
The host was absolutely wonderful – kind, attentive, always available, and made sure we had everything we needed.
The house was clean, spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable.
We truly had an excellent experience and would love to come back!
