This is a very large apartment with very high ceilings! It's in a central location in a lovely old building. There's a pleasant balcony leading off the kitchen and dining area - great for an alfresco breakfast. Somewhere it said that the kitchen was shared - no its private. There is no electric kettle - it's a small gas kettle. (The water is hard - I'd guess an electric one would scale up too quickly.) It's rather fun - it felt like camping :) We tended to live in the dining area where the light was best and Elena had thoughtfully provided leaflets from the tourist office suggesting places to visit.
Not a negative - just a comment. The information given to booking.com implies that the restaurant is part of this establishment. This is not the case. It has no menu posted outside and had very few clientele all week. We decided to visit it on our last night only to find it fully booked! Irony!
For those who need plug converters - there was only one socket that took the standard European 2-pin plug. The other sockets expect a narrower 2-pin plug.

Enormous, tastefully decorated apartment in a historic building. Big sunny terrace, unusable due to cold. Quiet neighborhood, at least in early March. Elena is a conscientious & caring host. She helped us with our bags, gave us a map & restaurant recommendations & called a taxi for us on checkout.
It was so cold inside that I had to wear a hoodie & gloves to bed—under 2 thick duvets & a wool blanket! We didn’t dare take showers. The radiators were on just a few hours a day & barely alleviated the chill. On check-in Elena had lit a fire in the kitchen fireplace, but told us there’s no way to control the central heat. So we assumed—perhaps wrongly—that there was no point telling her about the problem till we checked out. She was mortified & apologized profusely.
