The room was spacious and the view was gorgeous. The restaurant in site is lovely, have never had a fresher mussel. The scenery is absolutely stunning. I will never recover from waking up to that view. It’s breathtakingly beautiful
The tub looked dirty , but likely / hopefully was just old. There is not a lot of activities around here outside of nature walks. Not a lot of restaurants around either.

Location, friendliness, great food, facilities and warmth. Such a wonderful venue and the views are just outstanding.
There was a noisy family and the parents did not attempt to calm their kids, it was a bit like Mcdonalds play time. At mealtimes, as there are 2 restaurants, the Fish Restaurant could have been kept the quieter one while families with kids could be confined to the Captains Table area, just a suggestion!

The stay was slightly pricey but, it did not put us off and was worth the money.

The location is good with stunning views from the rooms. Our room was comfortable with a large double bed and small seating area. Breakfast in the morning was good: plenty of choice and hot buffet items topped up. The few members of staff we saw were pleasant.
I stayed at the property five and half years ago for a spa weekend. I was doing quite a lot of spa weekends at that time and remember thinking the Holly Tree was expensive, but location and the sauna were good and current jet in the pool made it a little interesting. This time around, it felt like things hadn’t really been maintained. The pool looks grubby and the paintwork mouldy or just stained. The sauna and current jet are gone and two small changing cubicles on poolside have replaced the sauna. These are small, but fine. The only other place to change is a poolside sauna. We were travelling with a small baby and had to queue for this as the pool was busy. Not an issue, but the floor was then very wet from use and there is nowhere to put a bag down to change a baby - sink wet, and the toilet has no lid. A minor annoyance, but it meant we only used the pool once and decided it was too much hassle to go back. For £200 a night that’s disappointing. Bathroom in our room could also have been cleaner: hairs on the floor and the door. I don’t normally leave negatives in reviews and these might seem minor to some, but they made me aware of what the night was costing us and I would look elsewhere next time I’m in Glen Coe.
