    Overall extremely good. I had a very nice single ensuite room, however zero privacy unless thick curtains were closed (not ideal on the hottest day of July) as overlooked by staff accommodation, walkers etc. Please hang some nets or a blind. Room ***. The £50 deposit charged to my card upon arrival was weird and unexpected. It can take up to 2 weeks to be refunded?? That's so rubbish. However, Anna on reception was delightful and professional.

    I can’t say enough wonderful things about this hotel. It is full of charm and character. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were perfectly appointed, clean, and in good repair. I truly can’t wait until I can return again. It’s my favorite place in Scotland!

    for older or disabled folk not good hotel because no lift and a lot of stairs. lovely big room altho bathroom design very poor for older disabled folk as shower in bath and no rail to help mobilise. lighting in room could be brighter but worse part for us was the evening meal, food was great but the service was very slow.
