Eleni was very kind to pick me up from the airport and return me after my stay. She was also very responsive. The property is nestled on the side of the mountain on your way to Drakano Tower. The beaches are only about a 10-15 minute walk and they are extremely beautiful. The property has lovely flowers and is kept very clean. There was some bread, butter/jam, and sliced cheese for me in the refrigerator. Instant coffee and tea packets with cream and sugar were also provided. The room was airy with a view of the ocean and the sunset! Lovely porches/lanais too. And, the beds are comfortable.
There are many cats all around the property and they are friendly. If you don’t want them coming into your room it’s best not to pet them (and of course not to feed them). I pet them but did not feed them, and they kept sneaking into my room.
There’s a market with some fruits and vegetables, eggs, dairy products, meats, bottled water, wine, beer, and any paper product or toiletry you may need. The owner Nico is nice and speaks English well.
Overall, it was a really nice stay and I would definitely stay there again. Sas efcharisto, Eleni!
The electric kettles in the rooms may have white flakes floating in the water before you heat it up. I was alarmed at first but I have learned that this is very normal and it’s due to the local hard water and a build up of minerals. You can rinse out your kettle but don’t worry because the flakes will disappear once you boil the water, and Google says it’s generally safe to drink.

The location, peace and quiet, views, good beaches and walks nearby. Faros is nice too
The cats were a bit much (cute to begin with but became a nuisance), but i think this is a common thing in ikaria, not just here….wherever there is food there are cats

It’s a rugged land and the host makes it very comfortable. Beautiful flowers and lights, cats, coffee. I loved it.
The road to it is rough but doable. Just drive slow and don’t believe gps. Listen to the rental car agent. You’ll hit a dirt road, then you’ll know you’re right.

●Absolutely breathtaking view and magnificent mountain side surrounding... you're on a tiny peninsula so there's sea and a beach in any direction.
●it was spotlessly clean
● nice shower
● kitchenette small but well stocked.
● so close to the airport you can see the runway from the balcony
I acknowledge not all these are complaints but I think people should know about .

●IS A HUGE COMPLAINT
THE WI-FI IS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!
There is great WiFi in all the tavernas so why not here and while it's TERRIBLE in the day at night I think they actually switch it off .
● it would be nice to be well informed that the tap water is not drinkable.
● it IS up a mountain with undrinkable tap water YOU NEED A CAR I did not have a car and had to lug cases of water up the mountain... no OFFER of a lift , instead I was told I NEEDED EXERCISE
● the SO CALLED BREAKFAST I was there 4 days
. In the fridge were 4 eggs some rusks and an assortment of tiny jams and margarine... none of which was replenished over the 4 days
The hostess greeted me on arrival , I never saw sight of her again for 4 days ... compared to the HOSPITALITY of everybody else in Greece and especially IKARIA it was baffling .
