Palazzo Alfieri - Place of Charme

Staff were very helpful and friendly The location is great (in the heart of Florence) The room was convenient and well designed

The breakfast could be better (in terms of variety of food and the service) The Gym was useless (the main machine was not working, some dumbbells were missing )

The hotel was in a remodeled historic building. The room was nice, but the common areas, ie the halls, had stained rugs and leaks on the walls in some areas. We had a great view of the courtyard and bell tower in the distance. It's in a great location on the Arno and the breakfast was great!

Room size.

We had a deluxe room. Large room, renovated and very nice design. Good breakfast. Perfect location, on the river, All rooms are quiet.

Staff at the front desk was a little obsequious but finally, helpful. Some of the buildings are not in the main building. The first day, the cleaning of the room was late, we had to ask for the room to be cleaned at 15:00. The day after, it was done early. No bellboys, it is an issue since some buildings are opened to anyone entering the hotel porch.

I had the most beautiful view from my room. Staff were lovely but breakfast was mid. The ceiling in the breakfast room was beautiful but the breakfast itself was plain and boring and if you’re vegetarian then the options available for you are very small. I didn’t like how pork / non pork items were all grouped together and utensils were cross contaminated. Also, I was made to wait 30 mins for a taxi on one day when staff told me it’ll take less than 5 mins.

The sofa in my room was squeaky and made a lot of noise. I couldn’t even sit on it.
