The apartment allowed easy access to hiking in the Le Mont Dore region including a short drive to a trailhead for Puy de Sancy. The apartment was furnished with all of the amenities we needed for a four-day hiking excursion. We also enjoyed the common area at the back of the facility with an open deck view of the Mont Dore valley - very pleasant environs! Also, concerns about general street parking were not a concern, at least the time of year. The hosts were remarkably welcoming and offered recommendations about hikes in the area.
