Wonderful staff, comfy beds, very clean. The shower room has everything you need.
The Berlioz is near Nice Ville railway station . There's no view and it is a 15 minute walk to the old town and sea, but worth it, for a good value, lovely little hotel.

We made the reservation because of the location showed on map, which is near the train station. As most of the travellers do, we planned to head to other areas like menton and monaco by trains. So it is important for us to book a hotel near the train station. However, few days before we arrive, the host told us that due to the room type (apartment), we need to walk 9-10mins more from the original location. It is such a horrible experience in terms of location.
For the staff, we arrived to the door front at 15:43. But there was not any staff at the reception. Luckily after standing there for 10-15 mins, there was a couple heading out and unlocked the door for us. So that we could get in. We didn’t have any ways to contact them but only used data roaming plan from hong kong to call them. Finally the staff showed up after around 20 mins after our arrival time at the door front.
After we got the key and arrived the location further away from the original location, we found that the key didn’t mention about the details of the apartment. We only knew from the key that the apartment is flat A, but not the floor. We inserted the key one by one like a theft from top to bottom. It was a totally embarrassing experience.
Overall for the location and staff, it does not worth the premium of ‘near train location’ extra price and it is a bit like a scam.
Facility-wise, the apartment is great, with a lot of amenities provided and clean.
