About this villa rental
Casa Rosa is a traditional stone farmhouse set high in the green hills of Umbria, some ten kilometres (or six miles) north-east of Assisi. The house is divided into self-catering apartments – one large holiday apartment occupying the entire of the first floor of the original country house (Giotto, this listing), two smaller apartments sharing the ground floor, a small cottage in the converted stables; a two-bedroom apartment; and a studio apartment in a new extension. Each apartment is completely self-contained, with its own kitchen and bathroom, and its own balcony or terrace.
All the apartments are simply but comfortably furnished, beautifully decorated, and have full central heating. There is also spectacular swimming pool, shared by the apartments: located above the house in a marvellously tranquil position, it enjoys panoramic views over the National Park of Mount Subasio.
The pool is bordered along one side by lavender, local herbs and a large cherry tree; on the other, a wide terrace is paved in local stone, with sun-beds and deck chairs for lounging and sunbathing. Also found here are the barbecue and gazebo. Around the house is a small farm of 40 hectares (or 100 acres), roughly one-third cultivated, one-third pasture, and one-third wooded with planted trees.

Living room with fireplace, dining table and six chairs, easy chair, and Wi-Fi access, wood-burning stove, and access to balcony with panoramic views over the National Park. Kitchen area with gas hob and oven, sink, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board.
Bathroom with terracotta tiles, large level-entry shower, basin, bidet and WC. Master bedroom with large double bed, decorated furniture, and armchair. Bedroom with queen size bed (or twin beds on request), decorated furniture, tapestry wall hanging, and panoramic views. Single bedroom with built-in cupboard and shelves, writing desk and chair. Washing machine available in separate laundry room.
Private south-facing roof-top terrace with table and chairs for al fresco meals and lovely views over the gardens. Access to pool with spectacular views and barbecue.

What a magical place!
We absolutely loved staying at Casa Rosa. The apartments are thoughtfully decorated and wonderfully tasteful! We loved the gardens and the beautiful landscape surrounding the property. We were very happy to hike around the trails at the property, talk with the lovely family who are the owners, laying down to read a book by the swimming pool, or even meeting the cats, which we absolutely loved.
The deep freezer meals by Alessandro was also a surprise for us, we tried lasagna and melanzane, it was absolutely delicious!!!
There is a yurt (two actually) in the middle of woods which is very peaceful to meditate and do yoga.
I could not recommend a place to stay more than Casa Rosa. Was our favorite in Italy so far. Because it was a very different pace from normal hotels, with much more privacy and freedom.
