We had a pleasant stay, nice welcome and easy check-in. Supplied were things to get you started, kitchen and toilet paper, some oil and vinegar, salt and pepper. Whilst not needed (we bring our own things) this will be helpful for others. Plenty gas for the stove and new gas bottle for the BBQ outside. Everything was working well. The outside deck (not towards the pool) will be replaced, we heard, and that is needed indeed. For us two this didn't matter as we used the grass area with tables and plenty seating there.The listing clearly shows the remote location, yet still easily accessible by car, which is exactly what we wanted. Quiet horses nearby. Surroundings, apart from nature sounds (birds), very quiet. Occasionally the gardener was present at nearby sheds, friendly and unobtrusive, but he will be doing gardening work, of course, but did inquire to time it with any absence during the day. Much appreciated. We had other people visit/stay at the neighboring house but didn't hear a thing. Yet, one is not entirely alone with respect to the surroundings, should that matter. We can also recommend this house (09-2025), just like the previous reviewers.

Beautiful house and pool in a wonderful quiet location. House was very clean and well equipped, weather was hot while we stayed but fans supplied to keep everyone cool while sleeping. Communication was excellent with owner and housekeeper. Really enjoyed our stay here.

This home was perfect for our family. The host welcomed us warmly with a fire in the beautiful and spacious first floor. The kitchen was well equipped. The host was readily available if we had questions. The house offered a very comfortable winter stay and would certainly be a lovely place in a warmer season.

We had a lovely week at this villa in Aug 2019. The house was beautiful, the surroundings lovely, and Benedicte and her family were extremely helpful and communication was easy both before and during our stay. Our only disappointment was that we thought the pool was heated as it was listed on the English version of home and away as being so and we had also read a recent review (2018) that said the same. However, the pool is not heated! And for little children (ours are 1 and 6) it was really too cold (12-16 degrees) which was a shame as we really wanted to spend more time in the pool. But all other facilities were as expected and the kids had great fun in the garden and on the trampoline. We would definitely recommend this gite just with the understanding about the pool!
